Charlie Worsham is starting to get more noticed as a performer in Nashville after being a writer/musician for years.

He was added to the CRS New Faces Music Show in February that is performed in front of radio industry folks, after they voted the show’s line up in.

Charlie tells Albright & O’Malley & Brenner in speaking about the talent shows of today that he feels he would not make the cut, to the finals, on the ‘The Voice’ or ‘American Idol’ and that Blake Shelton is entertaining on ‘The Voice.’

Charlie then spoke of being a mentor/judge on the shows.

“I would never want to rule anything out, I actually just got to play a role in an episode of the TV show ‘Bones’ that’s going to air in January,” Worsham reveals to Dan Van from Albright & O’Malley & Brenner.

Charlie says he got to be himself for the breakout TV cameo but it was an unexpected happening.

“More or less played a character that’s exactly who I am in real life and all,” Charlie tells “But that was something I thought I never would do, I never in a million years could imagine myself being a judge on one of those shows, I don’t know if I have the heart to be critical of someone in front of that many people but I wouldn’t never say never.”

The Bones’ episode is about a famous country music singer in the Philippines that is murdered.

The ‘Bones’ team investigates the death of Colin Haynes (guest star Charlie Worsham), a struggling country music singer whose remains were found in a shallow grave. When the team learns about the victim’s music career, it leads them to his record label, which, they discover, was deceitful in its dealings with him.

Catch the episode at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT on FOX-TV Friday, January 17th
