CMA Songwriters Series Celebrates 10th Anniversary in New York

Bob DiPiero, Radney Foster, Brett James, and Craig Wiseman will share the stories behind their hits at the CMA Songwriters Series 10th anniversary celebration.

The CMA Songwriters Series culminates its 10-year anniversary celebration in the venue where it all began, Joe’s Pub in New York City, with a two-night event on Dec. 3 and 4. Celebrating its decade-long run, the CMA Songwriters Series features songwriter and host Bob DiPiero performing alongside Radney Foster, Brett James, and Craig Wiseman. Tickets are on sale today and show times for both nights are 6:30 and 9:00 PM/ET.

DiPiero was instrumental in starting the CMA Songwriters Series back in 2005. A member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he has notched 15 No. 1 Hits including “Little Rock” (recorded by Reba), “Blue Clear Sky” (recorded by George Strait), and “Southern Voice” (recorded by Tim McGraw).

Foster has garnered success as both an artist and a songwriter. As half of the duo Foster & Lloyd, he was responsible for co-writing hits such as “Crazy Over You” and “Sure Thing.” As a solo act, Foster wrote and recorded the hits “Just Call Me Lonesome” and “Nobody Wins.” He has also written songs for Keith Urban (“Raining On Sunday”), Jack Ingram (“Measure of a Man”), and Sara Evans (“A Real Fine Place to Start”).

James has written 17 No. 1 hits including “I Hold On” (recorded by Dierks Bentley), “Out Last Night” (recorded by Kenny Chesney), and “Somethin’ Bad” (recorded by Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood). He has also penned songs for Bon Jovi, Luke Bryan, Colbie Caillat, Kelly Clarkson, and Urban.

Wiseman has had more than 20 No. 1 songs including “Live Like You Were Dying” (recorded by McGraw), “Hillbilly Bone” (recorded by Blake Shelton), and “The Good Stuff” (recorded by Chesney). Wiseman has also had songs recorded by Brooks & Dunn, Faith Hill, and LeAnn Rimes.
