Kelleigh Bannen Releases Favorite Colors Album

Kelleigh Bannen released her recent album, Favorite Colors, on Friday, October 11th. If you have followed along on the journey through social media you know this has been a long time coming and that she has put her heart into this album. Bannen re-released, if you will, several songs, “The Joneses”, “Happy Birthday”, and “John Who.” If you pre-ordered the album, then like me, you have probably had new songs “Faith In You”, “Boys Don’t Cry”, “Deluxe”, and “Diamonds” on repeat.

Bannen co-wrote all 14 songs on the album. They are raw, filled with truth, and will take you on a journey as you listen. I could rave about each and every one but will stick to highlighting a few favorites. One of my favorites is the fun “Faith In You”. It’s super catchy and talks about how you are going to fight for what you love.

“I don’t know what I believe anymore, ain’t sure what I’ve been fighting for, a lot of dreams that don’t come true, baby I got faith in you.”

Another love song, featuring a sultry vibe, “Suit” has Bannen singing about a relationship that hasn’t been official for long but is one that she can visualize being more.

“We’ve only been official a few weeks, might be skipping up ahead just a few beats, ain’t locking you into an I Do thing, but I want to get you out of those blue jeans. I can see you in a suit, and tie. I can see you at the end of an aisle.”

The slower “Time Machine” has an anthem vibe to it and leaves you reminiscing about your past from the small moments in life, be it a song or a drive.

Oh it might be a melody, might be a song on an old six string, maybe riding a Mustang down memory lane or Broadway. Might be a sip of something smooth, or a strangers perfume. Well who says there’s no such thing, if you ask me, there’s all kinds of time machines.”

Bannen’s hard work, sultry voice and determination make it very easy to root for her. I can’t wait to see what’s next in her career and I will definitely be cheering her on along the way! Don’t be one of the “Haters” take a listen to Favorite Colors now!
