Kristian Bush Opens Up About Solo Opry Debut

Although July 18th, 2014 was not the first time Kristian Bush has played at the Grand Ole Opry, it was his solo debut at the venue. That evening he joined the likes of Brad Paisley, Sarah Darling, Clare Bowen, Mark Wills, Striking Matches, and many more.

“I know you, and you know me- but you have no idea what I sound like when I sing; that’s ok! Nobody panic!” he jokes, as he proceeds to assure the audience that the band Sugarland is NOT breaking up. However, Kristian Bush quickly makes his presence known as a solo artist by opening with his rhythmical yet powerful single “Trailer Hitch,” which is available for download HERE. In addition Kristian performed “Southern Gravity;” the title song from his album that is currently in the works.

When asked about the experience Kristian replied:

“Playing the Opry is one of the most reverent things that you can do as a country artist and every time I perform there I get the feeling that I am a part of a bigger story. I am honored and humbled to finally add my solo voice and my new songs to this story. I hope to make everyone proud.”

Having the opportunity to get to know Kristian Bush, and seeing him perform an acoustic set of songs from his upcoming album at Cadillac Jacks in Fort Myers, FL it is easy to see why he has earned his reputation as one of the most humble and talented men in country music today. This is one artist who will be pulling at our heart strings with his guitar stings and meaningful lyrics for a long time to come. We are lucky that he is finally showcasing his voice!
