Michael Ray “Get To You” Single Review & Music Video

After the huge success of “Kiss You In The Morning” and his most recent smash “Think A Little Less”, Michael Ray has released a track that is a true testament to his continued growth as an artist. “Get To You” is simple, but goes much deeper, as he is desperately trying to make sense of love, and why it seems to come with so much hesitation.
“Why do you…
Run away, run away from love,
What the hell are you so scared of,
You walk away when you’ve had enough, of trying, of trying,
Girl there’s always gonna be some pain,
A little sunshine a little rain,
Doesn’t mean it ain’t worth it babe,
I’m trying, I’m trying to get to you”
Straight to the point lyrics, yet the way they are executed allows us to truly connect. You feel for him. You feel for her. It is a song that almost all of his fans can relate to, and you cannot help but wonder how this story ends. Lucky for us, I think we will find out. “Get To You” is only (Chapter 1) of this story.
While the lyrics and emotions all tug at your heart strings, the music video brings those feelings to life. Michael Ray and “Get To You” is Got Country’s Featured Video of the week.

There was no specific event that made me fall in love with country music, it was simply the style that hit me the hardest. I’ve been involved with music from a young age and it has helped get to where I am today. I graduated Albright College with a degree in Music Business and currently work in New York City with Music Licensing. When I’m not working with music, you can find me listening to it, watching it, or playing it. I consider myself lucky when I look back at the various concerts I’ve attended, from classics such as Brooks & Dunn and George Strait, to the incredible new talents of Eric Church and The Band Perry. It only makes me want more. Music is something I can always count on and I’m excited to have the opportunity to share this love with all of you!
