SINGLE REVIEW: Alex Stern “Anybody’s Almost”

Country singer-songwriter Alex Stern is putting her foot down in her newest single “Anybody’s Almost”. No messing around here, this piece does not even need an intro, just her bold and confident voice getting straight to the point.

You can sense the emotion of heartache now and then, but it is quickly shifted to the realization that she deserves better, proving herself as an artist who does not just sing the words, but stands behind them.

Cuz I’m tired of this tired love, and I’ve had enough,

Don’t mean to complicate it,

But I’ve been re-evaluating,

What I am worth, what I deserve, so it’s you I’m giving up

The song builds at just the right moments, and the extra touches of the faint phone dialing between verses, pulls the reality of this piece together creating even more of a visual.

We feel empowered just listening and her message leaves an impact.

I won’t take it, anymore

And I deserve what I’ve been waiting for

“Anybody’s Almost” is the first single off Alex Stern’s upcoming sophomore project which follows her debut EP Midnight Bandits. It is evident that with this single, Stern is strong and passionate about creating honest and memorable music.
