SINGLE REVIEW: Blake Shelton “Sangria”

What – another drinking song by Blake Shelton? Yes, one would expect an aptly titled single, “Sangria“, to involve the consumption of alcohol.

“It’s just about one of those nights where you drink too much and you’re gonna end up hookin’ up with this person, it’s just inevitable. It’s not too over-the-top, but it’s pure sex – that’s the only way I know to describe that song.” (Blake)

The tune, co-written by J.T. Harding, Josh Osborne and Trevor Rosen, cranks up the heat and takes the ’spirited’ lyrics from the bar to the bedroom.

“We’re buzzing like that no vacancy sign out front
Your skin is begging to be kissed by a little more than the sun
You take my hand in yours, you lean in and
Your lips taste like sangria”

Expect Blake’s latest to climb the charts; it’s ‘song stuck in your head’ catchy. Check out the video that was filmed at wife Miranda Lambert’s The Ladysmith (Bed and Breakfast) in Tishomingo.
