SINGLE REVIEW: Chase Allan “Brand New Day”

Talk about fan friendly country artists. Nashville’s Chase Allan is all about connecting with his fans which is how I ran into him on Twitter.

“People want something they can believe in…somebody who is real…people who enjoy my music will never be a number to me.”

Not only does he have a rapidly growing following on Twitter and Facebook but he has earned the recognition and admiration from many within Nashville’s music community.

“I basically didn’t know one person when I came to Nashville…I’ve been Walkin the Line and working my butt off…lol.”

“I’ve worked with the best studio guys in Nashville and took my time…did it right.”

Consider the list of those Chase Allan has had the honor to work with: top Nashville studio engineers Pete Coleman, David Hall, Brandon Epps, Sam Martin and Aaron Chmielewski. These guys have worked with Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Antebellum, Lonestar and Montgomery Gentry to name a few. Chase has also worked with several acclaimed musicians incuding Rich Redmond and Tully Kennedy (Jason Aldean Band), Chris Leuzinger (Garth Brooks), Tom Bukovoc (Keith Urban). Senior A&R Executive Chris Douglas of Virgin Records International quoted “Chase has an excellent new sound.” Aaron Chmielewski, who has worked with Taylor Swift, The Band Perry and Sugarland, was quoted saying “Chase’s music is a cross between Bryan Adams and Keith Urban, a little bit of country and a little bit of rock-n-roll.”

“I produced and wrote all my music except for 2 songs which are single cowrites.”

Chase Allan’s new single “Brand New Day” draws attention to his powerful and undiluted vocals. The rock edge, if you will, does not over shadow the song’s country intentions. And isn’t it great when you can turn on a song and not have to wait for radio to play it again in order to understand the words? Well, here ya go. “Brand New Day” has the right balance of music to have you gently bopping your head with the beat and still be able to understand the lyrics. And it gets better, not only can you understand the lyrics but they are relatable. For me, lyrics are what carry the weight of the song. And Chase delivers.

“My songwriting comes from both what I feel within and what I observe around me. Songs that I write are from past experiences of family, friends and people I have met throughout life who have all experienced triumph, hardships, love and loss whether it’s relationship issues or everyday hurdles of life. This is what continues to navigate my songwriting style. When I write a song, I’m hoping that it touches the listener in a way that brings joy, happiness, and a positive impact on their lives. Maybe a little bit of me for that one moment.”
