SINGLE REVIEW: Greg Bates “Sand”

Greg Bates, the talent behind “Did It For The Girl” and “Fill In The Blank” has just released a new, and nostalgic single, “Sand”.

“We had the world in the palm of our hands
Chasing the moon with aluminum cans
We lit it up, and blew it out, yeah living for the here and now
That summer slipped by so fast, like grains through an hourglass”

Bates’ approach to reminiscing a long lost summer is genuine. His words are simple, yet so full of meaning.

The tone remains fresh throughout and the delightful piano solo has us floating through our own special moment and memory.

There is something about Greg Bates’ music that instantly lifts your spirits, and you find yourself humming his tunes long after they end. He has the drive and personality of a true country artist, which continues to show throughout his music.

“Sand” will be only the start to a much deserved, long and successful career.

There was no specific event that made me fall in love with country music, it was simply the style that hit me the hardest. I’ve been involved with music from a young age and it has helped get to where I am today. I graduated Albright College with a degree in Music Business and currently work in New York City with Music Licensing. When I’m not working with music, you can find me listening to it, watching it, or playing it. I consider myself lucky when I look back at the various concerts I’ve attended, from classics such as Brooks & Dunn and George Strait, to the incredible new talents of Eric Church and The Band Perry. It only makes me want more. Music is something I can always count on and I’m excited to have the opportunity to share this love with all of you!
