Rock Meets Country or Country Meets Rock. Whatever way you want to look at it, it’s all good!
Justin Moore’s cover of Mötley Crüe’s “Home Sweet Home“, featuring Vince Neil stays pretty true to the tunes’ classic 1980’s heavy metal rock roots. But, Justin Moore’s rich twangy vocals lend a nice, smooth twist that just brings the ‘power ballad’ a little further into the good ole sticks. This is an excellent cover off the soon to be released Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute to Mötley Crüe album. It’s easy to imagine that Justin could relate to the sentiments of “Home Sweet Home“. As one of many artists who spend a great deal of time touring across the States, missing home and family isn’t a far fetched reality.
Not only is “Home Sweet Home” likely to be a summer hit, it is also sure to please the listeners who will find it a cool trip back to the hair band days. The video is worth a look too with its appearances by Vince Neil on stage with Justin Moore and Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars hanging in the club. Rock on with your boots on and bottle up to this nicely tweaked version of “Home Sweet Home“.
