The Band Perry has stepped up their game this year. When it was announced they would be headlining, critics, and even the sibling trio had doubts at times. Instead they exploded into the scene and cemented their spot in history. Their sophmore album, PIONEER, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums and #2 All Genre. They have sold over 11.3 million tracks to date. The WE ARE PIONEERS Tour sold out venues globally. “If I Die Young” was just certified quintuple platinum. Topping off the whirlwind the trio was recently awarded “ACM Vocal Group of the Year”.
Earlier in the week, they received two nominations for the 2014 CMT Music Awards. They are up for “CMT Performance of the Year’ for the CMT Crossroads collaborations with Fall Out Boy for their performance of “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark“. They also received a nomination for “Group Video of the Year” for “DONE“.
“We were so thrilled to hear about our CMT Music Award nominations yesterday,” said The Band Perry. “The ‘CMT Crossroads’ performance with Fall Out Boy was without question one of the highlights of 2013 for us, and it’s really exciting for a video like ‘DONE.’ to be nominated, where we feel like we pushed the creative envelope to a new level for the band. It’s great to see the video and its amazing director recognized.”
Kimberly, Reed and Neil take you on an emotional journey with their set. Powerful lyrics coupled with innovative set lighting make the concert experience a feast. They perform their dynamic songs with insane energy but bring the house completely still with their rendition of “Amazing Grace“. Their cover of “Timber” brought the crowd to their feet. Hearing a large crowd sing “If I Die Young” is unforgettable. The song connects with the audience and Kimberly quietly backs away from the microphone to take it all in. We all feel the same way and country music fans are in no way DONE with The Band Perry.
Recently the trio sat down with Broadway of Electric Barnyard. (Country 92.5FM) Listen here:
The group has new music in the works and will be joining Blake Shelton this summer on the Ten Times Crazier Tour.
