The Chris Burkmenn Experience Sits Down With Kamber Cain

Kamber Cain grew up in El Dorado Springs, a small rural town in Missouri, but that has not kept her from having big city dreams about singing Country Music. No stranger to the stage, Kamber, born in 1990, has been quite the performer for the majority of her life. Influenced by artists such as Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, she has always strived for a piece of the limelight.

At the ripe old age of three, her first stage appearance was with Brian Black. By age four, Kamber started her singing career and hasn’t looked back. She is known for her strong vocals and stage performance. Winning a local competition in Kansas at a Colgate Country Showdown at the age of 14 gave her the opportunity to open at a Country Round-Up Show for Jamie O’Neal, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Billy Dean and headliner LONESTAR. This was only the beginning. She has gone on to qualify seven more years for the Colgate/Texaco Country Showdown State Competitions held in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. She has held various titles over the years, including Route 66 Idol and Pittsburg Idol. She has also performed at the American Royal in Kansas City, MO, the American Idol Experience in Orlando, Florida and at numerous other contests and venues . All this, plus continuing her education after high school by attending Belmont University and MSSU, substitute teaching, and acquiring a real estate license, has kept her very busy; but her main goal in life is to pursue a country music singing career.

Recently, Kamber was blessed with the awesome opportunity to co-write and record four original songs with the mentoring of singer/ songwriter/ producer, Rich McCready, (co-owner of McCready Recording Studio) and Nashville’s own producer/songwriter, Brian Maher, (hit co-writer for Justin Moore’s “Til My Last Day” and “Small Town USA”). Tracks were perfected at Benchmark Sound Studio in Nashville and four amazing songs were born.

The end of August 2013 was the the release of Kamber’s very first music video for the song “Ain’t Nothin Like A Night Like This.”

Kamber recently sat down with our good buddy Chris Burkmenn, host of The Chris Burkmenn Experience, to discuss where she came from, where she is now, and where she wants to go in the future.
