New Music Friday 7.31.20

Country music was stacked this week with new music from Randy Travis and Eric Church.  A surprise favorite is the star-packed Contemporary Christian-country mashup album from Chris Tomlin.  Throw these tracks on your playlist for a relaxing weekend of kicking your feet up.  Hope it’s a good one! 

Chris Tomlin – Chris Tomlin & Friends

With his first venture in the country space, worldwide Christian artist Chris Tomlin has proven he belongs.  Taking along friends like Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett and Russell Dickerson, the album it a perfect country and Christian collaboration.  Check out “Sing” featuring FGL and Dickerson.  

 Dan + Shay – “I Should Probably Go To Bed” 

This piano-driven showcases rational thoughts regarding a breakup.  Sometimes the best thing to do it just go back to bed.  

Maren Morris – “The Bones” Acoustic 

As if this song could get any more beautiful.  This insanely stripped down version of the mega-popular song is the perfect soundtrack for a weekend hanging inside.   Listen to all the acoustic tracks she’s dropped. 

Lauren Alaina – “Run” 

Love the lyrics of this song focused on the constantly running we are doing.  Lauren’s vocals shine through on the chorus as they so often do.  

Eric Church – “Bad Mother Trucker”

Fans of Church are in a big treat with this one.  The grit, the lyrics and the slight humor is classic.  This is a rockin’ song to crank on the water this weekend.  

Randy Travis – “Fool’s Love Affair” 

This was an unexpected treat this week.  Hearing from Randy is delightful as this marks the first release since his stroke in 2013.  Listen to that voice! 

Brothers Osborne – “Hatin’ Somebody”

Groovy as always, this is a timely and important message.  Hate has no purpose!  Listen up and share with a friend!  Spread the love!
