Clint Black Celebrates 25th Anniversary of “Killin’ Time”

Multi platinum-selling country icon Clint Black, who recently released On Purpose, his first studio album in nearly a decade, has long been heralded as one of Country music’s biggest stars. It all started with the release of his critically acclaimed, triple Platinum debut album Killin’ Time. To mark the album’s 25th Anniversary Taste of Country will be hosting “Clint Black Week,” which launches today with a special performance taped for the celebration of his #1 single “Killin’ Time” as well as a discussion of the album that put him on the map. The seven day series, will feature exclusive interviews and new performances that will also include his #1 hits “Nobody’s Home” and “A Better Man.” Killin’ Time, released in 1989, produced five #1s and won Black four ACM Awards for Album of the Year, Top New Male Vocalist, Top Male Vocalist, Single of the Year “A Better Man,” and also won him CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and the Horizon Award and an American Music Award for Favorite Country New Artist.

“Killin’ Time for me, was this inexplicable phenomenon – a life changing event that took my songs on a journey beyond my wildest dreams,” said Clint. “Those songs were put out there for everyone to hear and not only did they take on a life of their own, they created a connection with my fans that I still enjoy today. For that I’m incredibly grateful.”

Day 4: Along with his band mates and producer Clint remembers being a struggling artist and performs “Live and Learn”
Day 5: Clint gives fans tips on how to write meaningful lyrics that will stand the test of time
Day 6: Clint and his band performs “Nobody’s Home”
Day 7: Clint and his band performs “A Better Man”
