Cale Dodds “Take You Back”

Ladies & gentlemen, Cale Dodds has done it again… Today (1.12.18) we received some great new music from Dodds. He released his third “double” from his upcoming album, and it’s a game changer.  “Like We Do” is a re-make from his People Watching EP and sounds great.  However, the real stand out here is “Take You Back.”

“Take You Back” will be Dodds’ debut radio single.  He is currently on radio tour promoting the sure-to-be hit.  It definitely has a modern country sound, yet the guitar gives you the feel of classic country.  It’s a great combination and will win over fans of both pop country & traditional country.

Dodds paints a vivid story with the lyrics and pulls you into what this relationship once was.  “Take You Back” begins as he runs into an ex at a bar and they catch up over a drink.  It’s clear that she’s single, and he has hopes that they can get back together.  The song takes you through memories that he’d like to take her back to.

I’d take you back to when I was the guy that was with you / back to the nights that we’d always end up, back in the back seat kissin’ in your driveway / if I had it my way…

I cannot wait until I hear this blaring through my radio.  For now, it’ll be on repeat on my phone, Spotify, iTunes – you get the point.

Dodds also released his first official video which goes with “Take You Back.”  It was shot in Malibu, CA, and is truly stunning!  Check it out below and let us know what you think!

I was born & raised in Orlando, FL. I love living here, but my dream and goal is to be in Nashville sooner rather than later.. I grew up on country music and remember riding around in my dad’s truck singing along to Reba, The Judds, and of course King George. Pure Country was a movie that played often in our house. These days, I absolutely love following “up and coming” artists. Anyone who knows me knows that Cale Dodds is my favorite; and when he’s touring anywhere in the southeast, I’m at his show. I love everything about country music; the way artists appreciate their fan base, the loyalty the fans show their favorite performers, and how it brings people together. I can thank country music for allowing me to meet some awesome people, and some who have become dear friends.
