Outshyne, the five-piece country band hailing from South Carolina, has renewed its sponsorship deal with another South Carolina original, Palmetto Moonshine, through 2015.
Brothers Trey and Bryan Boggs launched Palmetto Moonshine in Anderson, South Carolina in 2012, becoming the first micro-distillery to make moonshine – legally! – in that state. The brothers make use of centuries old recipes to create their 105-proof, triple distilled corn liquor, made in-house with copper stills. In addition to the original distillery, Palmetto Moonshine has locations in Pendleton, SC and a newly opened store in Myrtle Beach.
“Bryan Boggs and I are excited about the opportunity to continue working with Outshyne and building the Palmetto Moonshine brand,” said co-founder Trey Boggs. “When you put great musicians like Outshyne together with award winning Palmetto Moonshine, you can’t help but create a good time!”
The band recently scored their first #1 single, “Moonlight Crush,” on Sirius XM’s prestigious hit-launching channel The Highway. Based on the tremendous support the single has gotten on The Highway, “Moonlight Crush” is selling in excess of 6,500 downloads a week at iTunes, with the popular single selling, to date, close to 100,000 downloads. The official video for “Moonlight Crush,” along with the previously released lyric video, has nearly 300,000 combined views on YouTube, as well.
Outshyne, who have been performing full-time as a band for the past four years, consists of Waylon Owings (lead singer, guitar), Josh Coleman (lead guitar, vocals), Casey Joe Kelly (rhythm guitar, vocals), Jason Paxton (bass) and Matthew “Smiley” Norris (drums).
