SINGLE REVIEW: Dakota Bradley “Won’t Be Young Forever”

Dakota Bradley’s “Won’t Be Young Forever” (follow-up single to his Top 50 hit “Somethin’ Like Somethin) delivers two important messages.  One, you should take chances (even ones that may be a bit wild) when you’re young. Two, never lose that free spirit and you will be forever young at heart.

At 16, Dakota and another artist recorded a cover of Michael Jacksons “The Girl Is Mine. His then manager posted it on YouTube and producers of Ellen DeGeneres show saw it.  The two were invited to perform their cover on her show.

From Ellen to Tim … two years later, producer Byron Gallimore signed Dakota to a recording deal with his Streamsounds Records. Enter Tim McGraw to co-produce. Tim’s own band, the Dancehall Doctors, can be heard playing backup on several of Dakota’s tunes.

“I sing like a rock singer like Steven Tyler,

but I sound country.

I think people are gonna like me,

because my music is honest and it’s real.

I really sell it live…

I take performing and my career really seriously,

‘cause I gave up a lot to do this.”

The new single will be released on March 31.
