Sometimes the hardest goodbyes are the ones already said, as country artist Donice Morace laments in his brand new single “Goin’ Goin’.” The tune, which will be available everywhere you can stream music tomorrow, Friday, September 16 is a nod to classic country and the heartbreaking stories that fueled it. Reminiscent of the 90s country Donice was heavily inspired by, “Goin’ Goin’” is sure to resonate with fans of the genre. The single finds Donice at the beginning of the long journey to healing after an ended relationship. “Sometimes, your heart needs more time to accept what your mind already knows,” Donice shared with us about the inspiration behind the song. “‘Goin’ Goin’’ is the classic tale of a haunted broken heart,” he added.
Though the lyrics pack an emotional punch, the song is an immediate toe-tapper with stellar guitar riffs and one of the catchiest choruses in recent memory. The single follows “One Drink In” a romantic, love-struck tune that could nearly serve as a prequel of the latest release.
Together, the two singles have launched Donice onto the Nashville scene after many successful years in the Texas circuit. With years of dance hall performances, Donice opened for powerhouse acts such as Lonestar and Kenny Chesney, along with one of his heroes, Merle Haggard. Since, he’s continued to grow his stock with the release of his debut self-titled EP in 2017, which featured the top 25 single, “Good Hurt Comin’ On,” and “WD-40 and Duct Tape,” which peaked at number 15 on the Texas Regional Radio Report. He doubled down with the release of his debut album ‘Long Live the Cowboy’ in 2019, unashamedly putting the cowboy back in country music. With a resurgence of more traditional sounds in the genre, Donice has found his niche in blending his influences with modern, radio-friendly melodies. We cannot wait to see what he has next.
