INTERVIEW: Catching Up with Tori Martin

We were able to catch up with Tori Martin while on radio tour. Check out the interview below!

-How has it been on radio tour and connecting/visiting with Djs and Programmers?

It has been so great to be on the road and able to connect in person with country music DJ’s and radio programmers. There’s nothing like putting a name to a face and making new friends! I’m thankful I had the opportunity to go out on a radio tour for my single in the Spring.

-Explain a little behind the inspiration for Lucky and why it inevitably became a single?

“Lucky” is the title track from my last album and was essentially the inspiration for the entire record. I wrote this song with Kirsti Manna and Lynn WIlbanks about rolling the dice on yourself. In life you have to take a chance on your dreams and love if you want to get lucky! When we wrote this song we could feel magic in the room and it carried on to when I recorded it with my producer Bill Warner… we just knew this song had to be a single.

-What does the rest of the year hold for you?

I’m excited to see where “Lucky” goes as it continues on country radio and to get out on the road for some shows. I’ll be kicking off the summer performing on the Ole Smoky Moonshine stage during CMA fest and I’m so excited for that. I’ve been in the studio recording new music that I can’t wait to share.

-What is your ultimate music goal?

My ultimate goal is to make an impact with my music. Music has always been there for me in the highs and lows, and I would love to inspire the next generation of country music. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a country artist and it’s wild to think that I’m already living out that dream… anything from here is icing on the cake!

-Can you share about your interior design passion and goals related to that?

I absolutely love interior design and decorating. My husband Jason is a real estate investor and we have a few historic homes we’ve renovated on Airbnb. My main goal is to just have fun with decorating because it’s another creative outlet. My favorite part is giving the homes a theme when furnishing them and bringing them back to life!
