Scotty McCreery Releases Most Personal Project To Date, “Seasons Change”

The time has come for Scotty McCreery to reintroduce himself to the world, and we are ready to listen. While finding time to navigate a brand-new label, song-write, and plan his own wedding, the singer continues to remain humble and grounded every step of the way. With each accomplishment comes a tribute to those surrounding him, and that is just what you will hear with Seasons Change.

Seasons Change will be McCreery’s first release in five years, and the creative process has been a bit different this time around. I did a lot more writing on it, so it’s a lot more personal, a lot more stories of my own friends, of my fiancé and our story, and it’s just a lot more of a personal project.”

With the release still days away, McCreery is already heading into the launch of Seasons Change with a big career accomplishment. His current single “Five More Minutes” recently hit the Number 1 spot on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Charts. “Five More Minutes” is an innocent and heartwarming piece that stops us in our tracks, reminding us to take some time to live in the moment.

“That was kind of my first sample of what this record was going to be like to everybody, and to see the response and see that everybody was loving it, just how they related to it, had me over the moon.” The impression that this song has left on country music is only a positive foreshadowing of what the remainder of this album is yet to bring.

As a whole, the experiences over the last five years have made a huge impact on Scotty McCreery’s career and this upcoming record, and luckily, he has a constant stream of inspiration. McCreery co-wrote all 11 tracks that make up this project, a first for him, and he owes a lot of that to one special person, his fiancé. “It’s been huge. “I’m writing more, and every love song is about her.” Not only is Gabi his muse, but also his rock.

“She’s a big support system to me too, my biggest cheerleader and biggest supporter and she’s always wondering what I’m up to and how things are going, so it’s nice to have that, and she keeps me grounded.”

Just days after the release of Seasons Change, New York City will be celebrating with a special show at Gramercy Theatre on March 19th. “We did it for my last one too in New York and that’s just the place to be, the city that never sleeps. It’s a great place to launch an album, everything is there, I’m excited to see the fans, we haven’t done too much up there in recent times. Can’t wait to play them new music.”

McCreery will be playing the new record in its entirety, and with a growing catalog of music, some songs will always hold a special place in his heart such as “Carolina Moon” and “See You Tonight”, but it seems that a new song has made it to the top spot, and for good reason.

“Five More Minutes has kind of taken over that role of favorite song of the night, every night because they’re screaming back to us the lyrics, the words. It’s an exciting feeling, one that I haven’t had in awhile, so it’s been nice. “

Between taking a second to appreciate moments like those, and all the behind the scenes work of releasing a record, it is no secret that McCreery has a lot to handle, but his natural drive and determination has him always thinking one step ahead.

“It’s fun, everything that is going on are great things, like that push for the number one single and the work that goes into that. We’re pushing for hopefully a Number 1 album, and all the work that goes into that launch. Planning a wedding, that goes without saying how much work that is. A lot of great things but a lot of busy things, but busy is good, better than the alternative.”

Over the years, McCreery’s music has left an impact on anyone who listens. The vulnerability in songs such as “The Trouble With Girls” to the pride in “Water Town Town” has allowed us to give our own meaning to his words, creating an undeniable connection with his fans. But as it is with all artists, there is always more story to be told.

“I feel like I really haven’t let them know who I am yet, so this record will accomplish that I believe to a better extent than we have in the past. They’re going to get to know my family, my friends, my fiancé, pretty much everything about me is on this record. I hope they enjoy it when they listen to it.”

As we approach the release of Seasons Change, we are anxious to accept the invitation and join Scotty McCreery as he journeys through the next chapter of his life and career.
