“Everything Has Changed’ was written in April, in our lounge room, in isolation! We had taken time off work to isolate and we had been lacking inspiration. So much had changed in such a short period of time. We wanted to write a song to reflect that. The world is changing and not being as it once was. Everything was changing and we were all trying to adapt to that.
Adapting to change can be difficult and we are sure this hasn’t been an easy transition for anyone. For us it wasn’t an easy transition.
It created anxiety at times. Our dreams of moving to Nashville were put on hold as seven months into COVID we still can’t even leave our state, let alone our country! We lost all of our shows for the remainder of 2020 and Ben’s job was made redundant. Things turned around and we ended up purchasing a property and Ben got a new job!
There has been a LOT of change. This is the story this song tells.
Change is a natural part of life. Every second in every minute things are changing. 2020 brought with it, a LOT of change but we look forward to seeing new positive changes for 2021!” -Souly Us
